Asset Management Surveyor

Role Purpose
- The purpose of this role is to ensure that Islington Council collects and maintains accurate and comprehensive Stock Condition data.
- Undertake detailed stock condition surveys to inform long term investment decisions and build annual programmes of works.
- Undertake validation surveys and update existing stock data to ensure accuracy and assist with quality control inspections on CIP programme.
- The scale and range of work being undertaken will vary according to the available financial resources.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to building a rolling annual programme of Stock Condition Surveys by developing a wide knowledge of the stock and the ability to identify, prioritise and programme stock condition surveys that support delivery of long-term investment needs.
- Contribute to building a rolling annual programme of Stock Condition Surveys by recommending specific estates or properties for further option appraisal and additional investment.
- Surveying properties based on strategic objectives and experience and knowledge of the stock.
- Responding to ad-hoc requests for surveys/inspections or advice in response to either Council officer/Member or resident queries or complaints and preparing reports where required.
Requirements
- Ability to achieve agreed service outcomes and outputs, and personal appraisal targets, as agreed by the line manager.
- Ability to undertake training and constructively take part in meetings, supervision, seminars and other events designed to improve communication and assist with the effective development of the post and post holder.
- Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the council’s commitment to customer service excellence and ensure compliance with the customer care standards.
Contract
- Initial 6 to 12 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
