Area Sales Manager

As an Area Sales Manager for our process control company specializing in smart tooling solutions, you will be responsible for driving continuous sales growth across all sectors, including projects and indirect partners such as integrators, machine tool builders, and distributors. You will act as the solutions expert, understanding your customers’ long-term objectives, demonstrating our products, and showcasing the true value we offer.

Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, eager to transition into a dynamic field sales role? In this role, you will receive comprehensive training to develop the skills necessary for a successful career in sales while leveraging your technical background to engage with clients and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Continuously grow sales across all sectors, including direct customers and indirect partners (integrators, machine tool builders, and distributors).
  • Solutions Expert: Understand customers' long-term objectives, demonstrate our smart tooling products, and effectively communicate the value they bring.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth and maintain our market leadership.
  • Service Solutions: Collaborate with the service sales team to demonstrate and promote our service solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively promote our solutions to customers, providing demonstrations both on-site and at our Innovation Centre.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Deliver performance insights to customers by leveraging the digital solutions within our portfolio.
  • Account Management: Proactively manage existing accounts and seek new business opportunities.
  • Focus Areas: Concentrate on promoting and selling Smart Tooling, Vision Systems, Process Control, Data Analytics, and Screw-feeder Systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Engineering or sales qualifications, or relevant experience in sales, business, or marketing.
  • Sales Performance: Highly motivated and target-driven, with a proven track record in sales being advantageous.
  • Passion for Industry: Passionate about UK manufacturing with an interest in emerging technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SAP and Salesforce would be beneficial.
  • Driving License: Must hold a full, clean UK driving license.
