With our extensive fleet of rental boilers and a commitment to exceptional service, we ensure our clients maintain uninterrupted operations during peak demands, planned maintenance, or emergency situations. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Steam Boiler Technician to join our dedicated team.

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Steam Boiler Technician to join their team.

This role offers the flexibility to be based anywhere in the UK, with the opportunity to travel to various sites as required. As a Steam Boiler Technician, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of steam boilers in a variety of industrial and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of steam boilers to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
    • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
    • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.
  • Repair:
    • Troubleshoot and repair faults in steam boiler systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
    • Replace or repair defective components, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulations.
  • Commissioning:
    • Commission new steam boilers, ensuring they are installed and configured correctly.
    • Perform system checks and adjustments to ensure efficient operation from the outset.
    • Provide training and handover to the client on the correct operation and maintenance of the boiler.
  • Customer Support:
    • Provide technical support and advice to clients, both remotely and on-site.
    • Respond to emergency call-outs as required, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in the service, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of steam boilers.
  • Strong understanding of boiler systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with a range of boiler brands and models is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving license.
