Internal Sales & Quotes Engineer

The internal Sales and Quotes Engineer will be Responsible for liaising directly with customers to provide support for technical enquiries, quoting and order intake.

Commercial Duties:
  • Produce quotations that meet customer expectations.
  • Create estimated Bills of Material for quotations.
  • Provide accurate lead time estimates.
  • Develop commercial and technical documentation for quotations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and follow-up questions from quotations.
  • Review actual costs against estimates.
  • Load sales orders and update information in Progress Plus.
  • Handle invoicing as goods are delivered or vested.
  • Provide customers with progress updates on current orders.
  • Transmit documents to customers for review and approval.
  • Assist with sales forecasting.
  • Coordinate with transport contractors for deliveries.
  • Liaise with new suppliers for product implementation or improvements.
  • Record customer communications and ensure feedback is collected.
Sentinel Administrator:
  • Fully empowered to carry out all functions and responsibilities.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to ensure compliance with all Sentinel rules and regulations.
Skills Planning and Delivery:
  • Effective planning and coordination skills.
  • Commitment to delivering products at the planned cost, quality standard, and agreed delivery date.
Communication and Influencing:
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to lead and influence colleagues effectively.
