Our client based in the South East offer digital, litho, data management, personalised and complex mailings to their clients. Other main areas of their operation include an in-house creative design studio, training documentation, data and transactional print, mailing and distribution. (They hold ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 accreditations)

Reporting to the Head of Client Services they are currently looking to recruit two people to bolster their client services team. As an Account Manager you will look after a portfolio of clients across various niche markets, including Clinical, Transactional Billing, Training and Events. You will be the liaison between customers and the fast-paced shop floor, making sure each department meets their needs on time. The Account Management team play a fundamental role in achieving sales targets by fully understanding customers' needs and requirements whilst maintaining and expanding their current account base. Coupled with this, you will be responsible for issuing accurate instructions to the factory and recording all transactions on the MIS system. You must work in an organised manner, be able to take ownership of your work and be able to proactively manage work in progress. The role requires you to work cohesively with all departments to deliver a high standard of service and in developing new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising accurate Estimates on the MIS system capturing all costs and quoting customers.
  • Briefing Operation Managers to ensure each project is produced to the highest quality.
  • Updating Dashboards and Work in Progress spreadsheets for visibility.
  • Creating Job Bags, ensuring instructions are accurate and clear for all departments.
  • Consulting with suppliers to arrange Outwork and developing relationships, ensuring the Warehouse & Purchasing Manager can accurately raise and receipt Purchase Orders raised on the MIS system.
  • Manage all work in progress effectively, making certain that you know at what stage in production your jobs are progressing to throughout their journey.
  • Ensuring the product is manufactured to the exact customer specification, to a high standard, and that it is delivered on time, including signing off proofs.
  • Confirming delivery dates to clients, consulting with the Despatch team and courier partner company regarding consignments distributed worldwide.
  • Managing timelines and the deadlines your customers need to meet to ensure production milestones are achieved.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting issues, resolving within an acceptable time frame.
  • Preparing jobs for accurate billing to customers on a weekly basis where applicable.
  • Documenting all customer visits and important discussions to Directors, Line Managers, and relevant departments.
  • Collaborating with your team members, supporting them with their workload if required and covering holiday.
  • Upselling all services to proactively grow existing business.
  • Assisting other departments with monthly housekeeping requirements.
  • Ensuring customers and suppliers deliver as per the Goods in Procedure to support Warehouse team.
  • Log NCRs on the MIS system to ensure they are addressed by the management team and corrective actions are put in place where appropriate.
  • Have flexibility to conduct ad hoc tasks as requested by the management team.

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience working in the Print sector with a background in Digital and Litho print.
  • Experience of mailing is desirable.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised
  • Intermediate IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to take initiative.
  • Good time management
  • Be the ultimate team player.
