Overview
You will be responsible for completing building surveys independently using the latest technology such as laser scanners and 360 panoramic cameras. Also providing technical support to project teams by producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently executing measured building surveys, using laser scanning survey equipment and 360 panoramic cameras (and total stations as and when required)
  • Conducting initial site inspections and completing dynamic risk assessments ensuring all necessary safety measures are in place before commencing the survey
  • Ensuring that all survey data is collected efficiently and accurately with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards
  • To communicate fully with all project stakeholders concerned to ensure that the survey is conducted and managed in an efficient and professional manner
  • Post survey data processing; converting survey data into readable RCP/RCS formats using Leica Software for use by design teams
  • Working alongside project teams to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models (using Revit) from survey data, ensuring that all drawings and models are accurate, comprehensive and meet the company's high standards
  • Collaborate with design teams, project managers, subcontractors and other projects stakeholders to understand survey requirements and objectives
  
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in an Architecture, Engineering or a Construction related field
  • A minimum of 2 year’s measured building survey experience preferably using laser scanning equipment
  • Experience using Leica 3D Laser Scanning Equipment and Data Processing Software.
  • Proficiency in the use of Revit software, with experience of creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review and interpret technical drawings and data accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team with the ability to build good working relationships
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; prioritising projects, planning workload efficiently, and meeting deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Assertive and self-motivated with a proactive ‘can-do attitude’ and a good team player
  • Able to occasionally stay overnight as required by survey requirements
  • Commitment to life learning and continuous development with an appetite for innovation
  
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • It will be requirement for this role for the individual to hold a valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card to enable site access and demonstrate health & safety competency. If the individual does not already hold a valid CSCS card, this will be provided
  • It will also be a requirement for the individual to hold proof of Asbestos Awareness training conducted in the last 3 years. If the individual does not already hold a valid Asbestos Awareness Certification, training will be provided
  • Experience using CDE platforms such as: Autodesk Construction Cloud & Microsoft SharePoint
  • RICS qualified (or working towards certification) would be desirable but is not essential
