- Position Title: Cut Off Operator
- Location: Ferndown
- Salary: £12.38 per hour
- Term: Permanent position
- Shift: Day Shift
Job Summary:
We are currently assisting our Ferndown based manufacturing client in their search for a Cut Off Operator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting and trimming a variety of metals to specified sizes or shapes using saws. The successful candidate must ensure that the saws are set up properly and that they are safe to operate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate saws to cut metals
- Position and secure material on the table of the saw
- Measure and mark material for cutting
- Observe operating to detect cutting problems
- Deburr cut materials when needed
- Perform basic maintenance on cutting equipment
- Follow all safety regulations
Skills:
- Previous metal cutting experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to use measuring tools
- Ability to set up and operate saws
- Attention to detail
- Manual dexterity
