My client is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Production Team Leader to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in production supervision or ready to take the next step into a leadership position. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 5-10, ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and a collaborative team environment. 

Role Responsibilities
•    Supervise and motivate the production team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
•    Collaborate across departments to ensure production schedules are met and resources are allocated effectively.
•    Liaise across departments to define and create build guide documents for standard and new equipment.
•    Collaborate with Purchasing and Stores to align build kit requirements.
•    Manage collation of issues logs, including recommendations to improve as appropriate. 
•    Encourage and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the production team, focusing on enhancing productivity and teamwork.
•    Monitor and maintain production records, such as weekly timesheets, and input relevant data into the ERP system (Epicor).
•    Support the setup and testing of machinery, ensuring readiness for final inspection and customer acceptance.
•    Liaise with the Commercial and Service departments to ensure smooth customer interactions and that all necessary documentation is in place for customer visits.
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop floor environment, promoting excellent Health & Safety practices.
•    Assist with the implementation and optimisation of the ERP system within the production team.
•    Provide clear communication and leadership to the team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
•    Carry out such other tasks as may from time to time be requested within the competence of the jobholder. 


Key Skills
Experience in a production, precision engineering or bespoke manufacturing environment, preferably within engineering or specialist machinery sectors.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
A proven ability to improve processes and drive efficiency.
