Salary: £38.00 P/H Umbrella rate

About the Role

Connect2Hampshire are currently recruiting for a Children's Occupational Therapist to work at Hampshire County Councils Occupational Therapist children's team based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

We are looking for a highly motivated Children's Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Children and Families Occupational Therapy Service. Collaborating with Grant Officers and Social Workers across the South West or North of Hampshire you will hold a caseload of children who experience varying degrees of physical and/or learning disabilities and autism.

You will work with them and their family to identify their needs and then meet their needs through minor and major adaptations and equipment provision.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to have regular supervision with an experienced Occupational Therapist Manager and Continual Professional Development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Professionally qualified and registered with HCPC for at least 2 years, you will have sound knowledge and experience of working within paediatric and/or adults' social care,
• You will have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, being able to communicate effectively with team colleagues, local Borough and District councils and other professionals.
• You will carry out Occupational Therapy Assessments recommending appropriate adaptations and then working together with Borough, District and City Councils to meet the needs of the child.
• Along with completing risk assessments and moving and handling assessments you will work with the Occupational Therapy Assistants in the team to ensure the necessary equipment is provided.
