GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful, specialist manufacturer located in Hereford. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Production Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent contract.

This position is 39 hours per week Monday - Friday offering a highly competitive salary which is pending relevant experience, entry into the company bonus scheme, onsite parking, health care cash plan and more! It also benefits from a weekly flexitime policy.

This position will require a candidate who can demonstrate previous Production Administration, as well as skills in processing orders using Bill of Materials (BOMs) and purchasing

The successful Production Administrator will have a background in works order generation and tracking within the manufacturing sector, specifically in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To be considered you must possess a thorough understanding of production processes, inventory management, BOMs, procurement and quality control measures.

Production Administrator main duties:

· Efficiently generate and process works orders for manufacturing operations using the manufacturing ERP system

· Ensure accurate documentation of works orders, including product details, quantities, deadlines, and any specific customer requirements.

· Regularly update and communicate the status of works orders to relevant stakeholders, such as production & commercial sales directors.

· Identify and resolve any bottlenecks or delays in the works order process to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

· Liaise with production, suppliers & sales team on despatch dates & lead times.

· Collaborate with production team members to create and maintain an efficient production schedule based on works orders, resource availability, and customer demands.

· Despatch projects in accordance with requirements and time scales.

· Arrange transport for goods and liaise with couriers/hauliers/customers regarding delivery/collection.

· Obtain transport quotes for sales team.

· Raise relevant export paperwork such as Certificates of Origin.

· Collate proof of deliveries/proof of export.

· Research and develop relationships with new couriers/hauliers.

· Support changes to the manufacturing ERP system (MIE Trak Pro).

· Purchasing – place purchase orders, chase suppliers, process acknowledgements.

Production Administrator required skills and experience:

· Previous experience in a manufacturing, production coordination and process role

· Thorough understanding of production processes, inventory management, and quality control measures.

· Strong communicator (written and verbal)

· Great attention to detail.

· Excellent management skills.

· Innovative thinker.

· Organised and calm under pressure.

· Friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player.

· Proactive, positive, enthusiastic - demonstrates “can do” attitude.

· Commercially aware.
