Litter picking is essential to tackling the pollution crisis on a local level and heavily contributes to keeping your community well-maintained, clean, and inviting to both residents and visitors. On top of this, our new Litter Picker opening is a tremendous way to stay active whilst getting paid!

The Job
After a training induction that must be attended before starting the job, you’ll be working as part of a team and will be responsible for ensuring the grass verges across the BANES region are kept clean and free from waste.

This is an active role spanning across an 8-10-week period.

Job Responsibilities:

• Picking up litter across grass verges.
• Placing litter in slow-moving lorries.
• Manual and physical work when required.

This role is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors and being on their feet. If you’re a reliable team player who enjoys being active, you could be the perfect fit for this role.

Key Requirements:

• This is a physically demanding role; therefore, you must be fit and healthy without any previous injuries.
• You are a team player with a positive attitude.
• A driving license is desirable although not essential.

Location
Radstock

Hours
6.00am to 2.30pm, Monday to Thursday.
6.00am to 1.30pm, Fridays.
Please note, the successful candidate will be expected to work some weekends.
