We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, with 5 years+ design engineering experience to join their team! If you have proven product development experience working within Consumer Goods (electronics, technology, medical or science), Commercial, Industrial or Transport - then this opportunity could be for you.

Job Profile:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross functional teams; Industrial Design, Mechanical, Software and Electronics Engineers to collaborate in bringing clients products to life. With leading status within the design world, our client are working with global leading brands within a variation of industries in all stages of the design life cycle.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Ideation of technical concepts
• Creation of 2D and 3D visual illustrations to demonstrate functionality and product usability
• Ideas to be transformed into 2D sketches and 3D CAD models for both internal and client reviews
• Rapid prototyping - machine shop experience is ESSENTIAL!
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the engineering team
• Communications with external resources; vendors and manufacturers
• Producing and controlling reports, drawings and other documentation

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess the following:

• Mechanical Engineering degree - graduated with a 1st class or Upper 2nd.
• 5 years+ design engineering experience.
• Advanced user of CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, CREO etc.)
• Experience within mentorship/support of junior members of your team.
• Worked on projects from ideation right through to production.
• Design Consultancy experience desirable.
