Our client are a dynamic and growing construction company specializing in Residential, Industrial, and Commercial projects.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing new build and refurbishment contracts. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects in a vibrant environment, with a competitive salary and flexible working arrangements.

Position: Senior Construction Estimator
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, plus package
Working Arrangements: Office-based or flexible working options available, including remote work 3-4 days per wee

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze tender documents, including drawings and technical specifications, to prepare accurate and detailed estimates.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier packages, perform take-offs, and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify queries and requirements.
  • Organize and conduct site visits, ensuring effective communication with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Assess cost factors such as production time, materials, equipment, and labor to optimize project profitability.
  • Work closely with consultants, clients, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure compliance with pricing requirements.
  • Provide cost-effective, value-engineered solutions and submit tenders accordingly.
  • Successfully transfer awarded projects to the construction team for execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in construction or a related field is preferred, though significant relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an Estimator with a principal contractor in the UK.
  • Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Causeway estimating software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines and handle the pressures of the role.
