This Project Controller position provides a varied and interesting workload, where every day is different. Since opening over 20 years ago the company has continued to go from strength to strength and have ambitious growth plans for the future.

About the Project Controller role:

Salary range £26-£32K, depending on experience

Performance Related Bonus

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (can be flexible on start / finish time)

Key Accountabilities for the Project Controller role:

Assist management and prioritisation of all customer projects including delivery and installation planning

Maintaining live project status (spec / time / budget)

Management of internal / external stakeholders

Working closely with colleagues to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines and schedules are met

Duties & Responsibilities for the Project Controller role include:

  • Assist the Project & Compliance Manager to manage customer projects
  • Manage site delivery dates
  • Ensure Customers are kept updated with relevant information
  • Check site to ensure readiness for installation (plan visits where appropriate . securing written & photographic evidence from the customer)
  • Create RAMS packs, actively obtain competent sign off and timely sending to customer and maintain records
  • Ensure correct training, certification and supervision of teams / supervisors
  • Ensure Site Pack with all site documentation including required H&S documentation is prepared, checked and available on time to Site Teams
  • Assist PCM with ensuring all functions and customers are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules
  • Lead process for customer complaints, record, analyse and report
  • Liaise with customers post sale; ensure service, maintenance and aftercare is delivered as needed
  • Liaise with H&S Team in the planning and documentation of audits and improvement actions for H&S processes
  • Maintain accurate Project and Installation Plans in real time
  • Manage small orders from receipt to despatch
  • Monitor project spend against budget
  • Negotiate and agree site delay compensation where relevant
  • Prepare installation sub-contractor questionnaire / documentation
  • Proactively communicate on all aspects from handover from sales to project completion
  • Review, propose and gain approval of appointment of subcontractors inline with purchasing SOP, Health & Safety Policy and Induction SOP
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Support the projects department with any additional administrative tasks when required
  • Update install cost analysis spreadsheet and enter data per project

Skills & Attributes required for the Project Controller role:

  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects
  • Confident, focused and driven to succeed
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner and under pressure
  • Ability to make decisions, especially in challenging circumstances
  • Excellent administrative software skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Organised, detail orientated and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Be prepared to work and operate nationwide
  • Experience with ISO standards is advantageous
