What's involved?

As a Pastry Sous Chef you will assist the Head Chef to select dishes which reflect the local area and help local suppliers. Responsibilities will also include;

• Prepare daily pastries, contribute to recipe development, and ensure quality.
• Guide and train junior pastry chefs and kitchen assistants.
• Monitor ingredients, manage stock, and control costs.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth operation.
• Occasionally interact with guests for feedback and menu explanations.
• Assist with staff scheduling and maintaining records.
