Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexible hours to suit work life balance)

Location: Nationwide - can be home based or work from one of Veolia's regional offices (Cannock, Horsham, Warrington, London & Edinburgh)

What you'll be doing;


  • Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including: GA',s Planning Drawings, 3D arrangements, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLD's, PFD and P&ID using AutoCAD/Revit & Tekla
  • Produce BOM listings to enable specifications, calculations and component selection to be undertaken by others.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the project timescales and necessary quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Project teams to create, update & manage BIM Models in accordance with project requirements & industry standards.
  • Utilise a Common Data environment (CDE) to ensure accurate data management, version control & efficient project collaboration
  • Work in the Engineering Team to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of the project works.
  • To produce project specific installation specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M&E contractors. This may include the production of appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (Layouts, General Arrangements, planning and piping drawings).
  • Create 3D renders for use in bid documentation
  • Generate, import & work with lidar scans in CAD using Trimble X9/X7 Scanner
  • Liaise with Electrical Design Engineer in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design.
  • Support and assist in the development stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.



What we're looking for;


  • Previous CAD experience 2D & 3D
  • Relevant engineering qualification, i.e. Degree, HNC/ HNC or equivalent
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit/Tekla & other relevant CAD Software
  • Knowledge of BIM processes & standards (ISO 19650)
  • Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g Viewpoint, BIM360 or Projectwise)
  • Strong communication skill & ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload.
  • Able to adapt to new technologies & software as required.
