Procurement Specialist | Nottingham | up to £65,000| Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)

We are looking for an experience Procurement Specialist with particular experience in category management and buying within a highly regulated industry.

The Opportunity:

Due to increase in demand within their energy contract, Ford & Stanley are recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to work closely with the Strategic Procurement Lead to develop strategies to identify, select and manage strategic partners improving their category across substations.

This role plays a crucial part in aiding the UK decarbonisation initiative, helping work towards its goal of achieving its NetZero target by 2050 alongside the increase of business-as-usual demand by fivefold.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for the category within your portfolio alongside the Strategic Procurement Lead in line with the overall supply chain strategy
• This includes identification, selection and management of strategic partners by using the category management principles.
• Be an active role player in the procurement team metrics i.e value plan, quality, health and safety, sustainability
• Ensure compliance to company and procurement policies and procedures

Candidate Essentials:

• Solid experience in procurement, buying and building categories (circa 5 years)
• Confident with supplier terms and legal requirements / distribution agreements etc
• Ability to work with self-autonomy
• Proven experience working within a highly regulated industry

Qualifications:

• CIPS qualified (or equivalent) is essential
