Betsi Cadwaladr Health board
Salary: ESP (Competitive)

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is Wales’s largest health organisation, with a budget of over £2.1 billion and a workforce of over 21,000 staff. The Health Board provides primary, community, mental health and acute hospital services for the population of North Wales.

Our Vision:
The Health Board’s vision is to create a healthier North Wales that maximises opportunities for
everyone to realise their full potential, reducing health inequalities. This means that over time,
the people of North Wales should experience a better quality and length of life.
The Health Board aims to provide excellent care, so our focus for the next three years will be on developing a network of high-quality services that deliver safe, compassionate and effective care
based on what matters to patients. In addition, we will ensure our work is closely aligned with
Welsh Government’s long-term vision for achieving a ‘whole system approach to health
and social care’.

The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, compassionate leader to lead the charge in
environmental sustainability in Healthcare for North Wales. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead initiatives that reduce our environmental impact, promote green practices, and contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of our communities, as well as delivering against our Estates Strategy 2023 - 2033.

It is an exciting time to work in this system. To reflect this, we wish to attract staff who can deliver
amazing things, have professional credibility, teamwork, compassionate leadership and a clear sense of purpose. They will be pragmatic, honest, open, supportive, hard-working and flexible in how they view things, and think laterally and creatively to help solve more of our challenges.

We are committed to embedding a compassionate and learning culture, underpinned by an evidence-based improvement system and, as such, welcome colleagues with an improvement background and philosophy within the area of Environment and Estates.

As a member of the Executive Team, the post holder will be accountable to the Board for the delivery of the above services.
