Pettigrew Recruitment Group is delighted to be working alongside a truly forward thinking local engineering business who specialise in providing bulk handling and storage solutions across a diverse client base in the agriculture and whisky distillery sectors, as they look to add a Project Manager to their team to facilitate a growing orderbook. This is a key appointment, one that will provide vital strategic support to the senior leadership as they look to deliver more projects across Scotland.

This Project Manager role is hugely diverse, however key responsibilities can be summarised as follows:

• Client Liaison: Take the lead in communicating with clients and other project stakeholders for allocated sites.
• Operational Leadership: Overseeing onsite installation by staff and / or appointed sub-contractors, managing project schedules & budgets including, but not limited to, monitoring of sub-contractors & liaising with suppliers.
• Bid Support: Assist in creating efficient and achievable proposals for new business.
• Safety Advocacy: Prioritise safety throughout the entire project duration.
• Planning Collaboration: Work with the team to develop feasible project schedules.
• Procurement Assistance: Collaborate with the management team to procure subcontractors, equipment, and materials essential for project delivery.
• Financial Oversight: Work alongside the management team to produce cost/value reports.
• Project Delivery: Ensure all project activities align with agreed-upon milestones.

Key Requirements of the role:

• Degree or HNC in relevant engineering discipline (civil, structural or mechanical would be desirable).
• Proven track record in managing various engineering projects, especially in distilling or agriculture. 
• Extensive technical knowledge and responsibility for on site / live activities.
• Proactive in communication.
• A full UK driver’s licence.
• Good communication skills.
• IOSH or SMSTS qualification (Desirable).
