Store Operative / Stores Person (Engineering / Manufacturing Sector)

Burton on Trent

3 months temp to perm

 £15 per hour + £1.81 per hour holiday pay

Day shift Monday to Friday – 8am-5pm

This well-established manufacturer is currently going through a growth phase and are looking to add to their stores team to ensure that they can keep up with the increased volume of orders. If you are an experienced Stores Person from an engineering or manufacturing environment, then this could be a great opportunity for you to join a stable business. Day to day responsibilities of a Stores Person will involve:

• Ensure all parts are identified and located correctly in the stores.
• Ensure that all spare parts are stored in a manner that maintains their readiness for active use within the factory.
• Ensure that all items that require outside refurbishment are dealt with appropriately.
• Liaise with all Engineering team members and ensure stores processes are followed
• FLT Driving
• General cleaning and upkeep of site
• Driving the van to local suppliers to pick up parts if required

The Stores Person must possess the following:

• Organisational skills
• Previous experience as a Stores Person within an engineering/manufacturing sector
• Independent worker
• Previous experience in dealing directly with suppliers
• Driving License and FLT experience
• IT Literate
• Good work ethic
• Capable of using own initiative
