Project Manager - Commercial Fitout - Main Contractor

We are currently hiring a Project Manager for an ambitious growing main contractor. The project manager will take the lead on an upcoming £15m commercial fit-out project in Central London. This project will be a mixed use events space, and you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential, commercial and mixed used developments. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a young growing contractor who have been going from strength to strength these past few years. Most of their projects are in the high end fit-out and refurbishment sector, with projects mainly based in Central London. 

This opportunity will suit someone who has experience managing fit-out and refurb projects in the range of £15-40m, who is keen to be part of a scaling business which they can develop their career alongside. 

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all health and safety documents are updated and regulations are always adhered to, including contracts, certifications, variations order and warranties.
  • Prepare subcontractor contracts, organise meeting of sub-contractors to ensure aware of roles, responsibilities and schedule deadline.
  • Engaging in a comprehensive review process encompassing design, shop drawings, and project timelines, allowing you to actively contribute and make valuable adjustments where necessary, resulting in an optimized project outcome.
  • Collaborating with the proposal team to contribute key information and insights, actively participating in compelling project presentations that effectively capture the client’s vision and needs, securing successful project bids.
  • Promoting a collaborative and positive working environment by leveraging existing marketing relationships with external professionals and clients, establishing strong partnerships that contribute to project success.
  • Delivering concise and precise project reports that effectively communicate progress, milestones, and achievements, ensuring transparency and effective communication among project stakeholders.
  • Taking a strategic lead in controlling project timelines, ensuring adherence to schedules and milestones, and leveraging your expertise to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrating your strong leadership skills by taking a lead role in presenting the project to the client, showcasing your ability to effectively articulate the project vision, achievements, and value proposition, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Providing valuable expertise in buildability advice and value engineering solutions, enhancing project efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest quality standards.
 
Requirements:
  • 3years + experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably on high-end fit-out/refurb projects.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communicator and ambition to progress career further.
