Our client, a distinguished player in the construction industry, is currently recruiting an HR Manager for a contract position based in East Aberthaw, Rhoose. This is a full-time office role with an immediate start and extends until 14th February 2025. Given the site's location, a driving capability is essential as it is not accessible via public transport.

• Oversee talent management processes and initiatives
• Handle disciplinaries and ensure adherence to HR processes
• Engage with employees and leverage interpersonal skills to facilitate change
• Support and manage managers who may not be fully versed in HR processes
• Travel occasionally to Turnstead and Dunbar for short visits, with expenses covered
• Work closely with union representatives, with support from the Senior HR Manager
• Challenge and push back when necessary, representing HR effectively
• Integrate seamlessly into the construction site environment

• Experience in HR within a heavy industry or manufacturing environment
• Strong talent management skills
• Proficiency in handling disciplinaries and HR processes
• Effective interpersonal skills, especially in managing change
• Experience working with unionised environments
• Ability to take initiative and manage HR functions independently
• Must be able to read between the lines and engage effectively in discussions
• Willingness to be present on-site and easily integrate with the team

• Competitive hourly rate, £24 - £28 per hour
• Hours: 8am - 4pm (flexibility on this)
