Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vans and light commercial vehicles.
  • Conduct routine inspections and servicing of vehicles, identifying any potential issues or necessary repairs.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements on mechanical and electrical components, brakes, suspension, and more.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
  • Complete all job cards and relevant paperwork accurately, ensuring detailed records of all work carried out.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Communicate with the service advisor team to provide updates on repairs and estimated completion times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Van Technician, Vehicle Technician, or similar role in the motor industry.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of light commercial vehicles, particularly vans.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, especially during late shifts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Flexibility to work late shifts.
