THE ROLE - Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

This is a rare opportunity to join a hugely successful aerospace engineering business in the design of exiting, safety critical aerospace equipment.

It is imperative that you have strong aerospace design experience, with a preference to that being related to electromechanical systems.

As a Principal Design Engineer, you’ll be spearheading and leading a team on design tasks and taking a lead on complex technical challenges.

DUTIES – Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Design of components and supporting equipment utilised in military aircraft.
• Carrying out performance and structural calculations.
• Producing 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Producing supporting documentation for engineering change.
• Working on both new development and sustainment projects.

BACKROUND – Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

• Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree.
• Strong Aerospace background.
• Electromechanical system design experience.
• Analytical mindset.
• Strong leadership qualities.
