Join TEXO Engineering & Fabrication as a Fabrication Estimator. Based in Westhill, Blyth, or Dundee, you’ll lead our engineering team with a hybrid work model - 3 days in the office, 2 days remote (post-probation). Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, structural, and piping drawings.
- Commercially astute with experience in estimating and proposal preparation.
- Strong background in financial data analysis and budget control.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and people management skills.
- Proficient in developing and managing estimates for materials, subcontractors, and labour costs.
General Duties:
- Promote and adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices.
- Review client specifications for bid compliance.
- Prepare material lists, obtain market prices, and estimate labour costs.
- Engage with the supply chain for subcontract service costs and organise procurement.
- Prepare and transmit TEXO Commercial Proposals and liaise with customers for feedback.
- Support growth strategies and management of change initiatives.
Financial & Budget Control:
- Complete estimation sheets and coordinate review of estimates and proposals.
- Analyse financial data to enhance service profitability.
People Management:
- Promote high standards through personal example and foster team collaboration.
Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with TEXO personnel, customers, suppliers, and service providers.
- Communicate market changes and their potential impacts.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to new business initiatives.
Self-Management:
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere and demonstrate resilience and adaptability.
- Act as a TEXO ambassador and maintain a proactive, can-do attitude.
Quality, Safety, Health & Environment:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Strategy & Development:
- Identify and promote business improvement and cross-selling opportunities within TEXO.
