Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for Waste Operatives to cover 9 sites around the Cambridge area.

Hours of Work Monday to Sunday, however covering 5 days in a 7-day period (09:30 - 16:30)

Rate of pay - will be on a 4 months contract, paying £12ph

Full PPE and training will be provided

Main Responsibilities:

The role will involve assisting members of the public visiting the Household Recycling Centre, to sort, recycle and dispose of materials and to ensure that the site runs efficiently. The successful applicant may be required to work at other HRC sites. Candidates must have a full driving license and have access to a motor vehicle.

What you need to succeed:

• We require good, reliable operatives who are available to start asap who are aware of the physical demands of this role
• Working in all weather conditions.
• You will need to understand that you could be at one site one day then another site the next day, and therefore cannot refuse travel to any site which you have been requested to cover.

You will need to have access to your own vehicle and the client will pay for the mileage.

It is essential that candidates are physically fit to undertake basic manual handling activities, able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and an effective team player with basic administration skills
