We are seeking a Software Developer to join our client, Origin Storage, in Basingstoke. This role is crucial for bringing Origin's product selector API in-house, which is currently being supported externally. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding Origin's business capabilities, including their plans to continue their growth into the German and EU markets. This is an opportunity to develop unique software platforms and improve internal systems within a dynamic team environment.

Day to day of the role:

Create Origin Storage's database platform, which can be populated with data and the API which links it with the main website.

Collaborate with the tech team to ensure seamless functionality and user experience the Origin Storage website.

Work on bringing the product selector in-house to reduce dependency on external support and enhance business value.

Engage in cross-training with the tech team to support various aspects of the business.

Contribute to the development and optimisation of internal systems, primarily based on SQL and PHP.

Once the product selector project is complete, assist with other areas of the business, such as IT support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Proficiency in PHP and SQL; experience with these is highly valued.

Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Eagerness to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and apply them effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
