Are you a seasoned professional ready to soar to new heights? We’re searching for a dynamic Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead our innovative and fast-growing team in the aerospace sector.

About the Role: In this pivotal role, you’ll operationally manage a team of buyers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of production and consumable materials. You’ll be the first point of escalation for all supply chain issues, taking charge to resolve shortages and other challenges. Your leadership will be key in driving departmental performance, meeting ambitious targets, and continually seeking improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: You’ll lead and inspire a team of buyers, ensuring alignment with the broader business goals while empowering and motivating your team to excel.
  • Cost Management: You’ll strategically reduce material costs without compromising on quality or delivery standards, ensuring our operations remain efficient and competitive.
  • Operational Excellence: By developing and maintaining robust purchasing and material control systems, you’ll ensure that all materials are delivered on time and in full, in line with our production plan.
  • Capacity & Quality Assurance: You’ll implement systems to measure and match supply chain capacity with forecasted demand, while developing supplier selection and performance management processes that uphold our high standards.
  • Supplier Performance: You’ll lead periodic supplier performance reviews and collaborate closely with our Engineering and Quality departments to address any supplier quality issues promptly.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive Experience: You bring significant experience in a progressive manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace sector.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: You have a proven track record in negotiating and implementing legal contracts, including purchase agreements, long-term agreements, and vendor-managed inventory agreements.
  • ERP/MRP Expertise: You’re conversant with ERP/MRP systems and have a solid understanding of inventory control processes.
  • Analytical Mindset: You’re skilled at making data-driven decisions and finding alternative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Commercial Acumen: Your strong commercial understanding enables you to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.
