Head of Sales and Business Development

Commercial & Residential Solar - Hybrid Working - Development to Directorship

The Business: Our client is a leading renewable energy company specialising in commercial & residential solar systems. If you are an experienced sales person with renewable energy experience looking for the opportunity to join a business at the forefront of the market then this could be the role for you.

Role Overview: As Head of Sales and Business Development, you will have strategic overview for the businesses sales team and lead a team of sales people to deliver your strategy. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential project opportunities, evaluating feasibility for investment purposes, negotiating and securing lease agreements, and acquiring all required permissions for solar panel installations.

This role does have the opportunity to progress into board directorship level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the current sales team and processes, including forecasting, reporting, training, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Identify target markets and key contacts, and lead the strategy to engage with them effectively.
  • Take responsibility for managing relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure timely contract delivery.

Requirements:

  • You will need experience in managing a successful sales team.
  • Strong networking ability.
  • Excellent understanding of the renewable energy industry
