Working Hours: 4 or 5 days a week, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Salary: £100 per day (PAYE)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young adults? Do you have experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Post 16 Behaviour Teaching Assistants to join the team at a reputable SEMH College in Lambeth. This role involves supporting students aged 16 and over, helping them navigate their educational journey and manage their behaviour effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning and develop their social skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other staff members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
