Day Shift: 4 Days on and 2 Days off

Start times of Early and Lates! - Flexibility is Key!

Pay rate: £13.80 per hour PAYE

4 ON 2 OFF SHIFT PATTERN (8.5 H/DAY Guaranteed)
Early Starts (05:00) / Late Starts (14:00) and Weekends - Flexibility is Mandatory!

We are currently recruiting candidates for the position of Service Aircraft Steps Driver to drive the step vehicles and positioning onto the aircrafts around Heahtrow Airport. Your responsibilities as a Service Steps Driver:

• Safely drive and operate aircraft steps to allow products to be embarked and disembarked
• Safely position step onto the aircraft.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and report any issues
• Collaboratively work with allocations team, effectively communicating aircraft arrival time, delays and secure cleaning turnaround times.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle is maintained
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, assisting them as required
• Adhere to airline and airport policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times
• Security checking of the aircraft in line with the Covert Testing Procedures
• Be professional in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients and any other person within the airport and work location

About the Aircraft Step Driver within you:

• You must hold a UK Drivers Licence - Category B
• Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
• Desirable previous experiences as a driving steps and positioning onto aircrafts
• Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
• Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
• Excellent work ethic
• Flexibility and Professionalism Required!
• Strong attention to detail and vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Flexible availability to work various shift patterns

In line with CAA regulations, you will be required to undergo the following prior to commencing work:

• Basic UK criminal record check
• An overseas criminal record check will be required for any period of over 6 months in countries outside the UK
• Full 5-year history*
• 5-year address history
• If the role requires airside access additional checks and security interviews will be conducted
