We are looking to recruit for an estimator who will be responsible for interpreting our customers needs and be able to accurate project specific solutions. You will manage allocated projects and work closely with external sales and internal colleagues, to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of all projects.

Duties:

• Ensure commercial quotations and technical submissions are on time.
• Identify and process Special or QA product requirements and support the wider Operations Teams technical needs.
• Update and take ownership of project folders.
• Ensure that all key information at enquiry stage is obtained to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
• Ensure that designs produced are compliant with current legislation.
• Support customers and colleagues in the timely resolution of technical enquiries, escalating queries that cannot be resolved.
• Provide excellent customer service to colleagues and customers alike.
• Provide technical support to the external sales.

Experience

• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of engineering principles, contractual principles, and methods of working.
• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
• Positive personality with a desire to continually develop and progress.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and willingness to learn business specific software systems.
• A mechanical/ electrical or building services engineering qualification e.g., HNC /HND or equivalent.
• Or a mathematical or science based advanced qualification.
• Experience of interpreting information of a technical nature, ideally specifications & drawings.
