Our client, a well established manufacturing company, has an excellent opportunity for a Receptionist to join their friendly team on a permanent basis in East London.

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering and screening all incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Taking messages and transferring calls to appropriate people and departments
  • Welcoming visitors and colleagues arriving through the main door, offering hot and cold beverages and notifying the relevant persons on arrival.
  • Managing front door security via CCTV and reporting suspicious activity
  • Managing the reception email in box, responding or redirecting emails as required
  • Managing the booking of meeting rooms and servicing hot and cold beverages as required
  • Monitoring and replenishing meeting room refreshments and stationery
  • Working closely with department managers to understand their needs and expectations for their department's calls, emails and visitors
  • Notifying the relevant person to cover or arrange cover for the reception during breaks and absences
  • Providing high level of professionalism and Customer Service to external contacts, clients, dealers and colleagues in line with ISO standards
  • Responsible for the organisation and presentation of the reception area, and care of the fish!
  • Providing admin support to department managers and office coordinator
  • Managing sundry contracts
  • Responsible for incoming post and distribution to relevant persons accordingly
  • Any other ad hoc duties as and when required.

  • Customer service attitude and problem solving skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanour

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 30 minutes lunch break.
