Position: Classroom Assistant

Rate of Pay: £85-£100 per day

The Role:

We are recruiting Classroom Assistants for the start of the new academic year! As a Classroom Assistant you will be required to support SEND children with our Classroom Assistants aiming to thrive within an SEND environment. To be considered for this role as a Classroom Assistant, you will have previous experience working with children and be available to start immediately in line.

Key Duties:

• Provide exceptional support to SEND children both 1:1 and in groups
• Adapt teaching support according to student's needs
• Promote inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access to learning and development
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Class sizes are smaller so you will be working alongside other staff members to offer specialised support

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs is preferred, though not essential
• A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of pupils with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Either live in Richmond or within a commutable distance
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education or SEND support would be advantageous.
