Solutions Architect (Perm) - Tech4Good firm, Leeds (Hybrid), upto £75k

About the company:

Brio Digital is working in partnership with a successful not-for-profit scientific software provider based in Central Leeds with hybrid working available (2-3 days in office).

They develop specialist software solutions including data sharing platforms to enable safer and more reliable testing within the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences space.

About the role:

As a Solution Architect you will play a leading role in developing and integrating the design and governance of the company's products. Working with a collaborative approach, you will be engaging with cross-functional internal teams. You will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to meet both business and members requirements, whilst ensuring adherence to the company standards as well as alignment and consistency across products.

What you will be doing:

· Developing scalable solution architecture designs, defining functional and non-functional requirements and translating into technical specifications whilst minimising risk

· Working closely with the delivery team, providing guidance ensuring all best practices are followed.

· Documenting solution architecture designs across all domains and ensuring compliance with architecture processes.

· Maintaining up to date of value-adding technological advances and processes in line with the company's current and future needs.

· Working alongside SMEs and ensuring positive outcomes by building agreement on architectural decisions.

· Collaborating with the Architecture team to develop appropriate standards, roadmaps and design patterns.

What you need to bring:

· A degree level or higher qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. computer science or software engineering.

· Strong Solution Architecture experience including the delivery of software architecture designs and IT architecture frameworks and methodologies.

· Experience in system integration and interoperability with cloud computing services.

· Thorough understanding of relevant architecture concepts (desktop, web-based and microservices architectures).

· Detailed knowledge of programming concepts, software development and SDLC including security controls.

· Knowledge and experience of working with an Agile environment.
