Site Engineer

Cork Based – On-site


We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Site Engineer/Site Engineer to join our vibrant expanding business.


Responsibilities

• Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.

• Monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client.

• Setting out using a variety of instruments as chosen by the company.

• Supervise and monitor workforce and subcontractor’s work.

• Report progress of works to Site Agent and highlight any issues.

• Provide technical guidance and resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

• Quality management and ITP co-ordination.

• Adhere to planning, health and safety and environmental standards.

• Weekly and monthly reporting of data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners


Requirements

• BTech/BSc/BEng Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction/rail industry, including experience as a Site Agent/Senior Engineer.

• Expertise with all aspects of rail construction, including earthworks, drainage, troughing, concrete works and signalling works.

• Ability to analyse and interpret construction drawings and specifications and add notes to drawings when needed.

• Knowledge with the latest construction technologies and software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project

 • Strong attention to detail.

• A valid Driver's License.

• Right to work in Ireland with fluent English speaking and writing.
