Electrical test and inspection engineer - Electrician

My client, who specialise in Electrical test and inspection works, focusing on high-end commercial spaces are looking to recruit electrical test & inspection engineers on a permanent basis.
Duties will include:
- Reviewing of plans/schematics
- Full inspection & testing procedures to comply with BS7671
- Management of apprentice or other electricians on site
- Producing commercial EICR’s & defect lists (Shineforms & Microsoft excel)
- Generating materials lists
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to work with plans/schematics
- Have a good understanding of wiring regulations & compliance
- Have good written and verbal skills
- Able to effectively liaise with Clients and represent the client in a professional manner Be experienced using a laptop to create reports (Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel) Experience with common certification software (Shineforms & Easycert etc)
- Willingness to work weekends and evenings is essential for this role.
Qualifications/Skills required:
- 18th Edition
- CSCS or ECS Card
- 2391 OR 2394/2395
- Be experienced using a laptop
- Full UK drivers Licence is essential
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial EICR’s
- Structured electrical training including, City and Guilds / BTEC electrical qualification. Level 3 (preferred)
The role comes with company phone, van, fuel card, pension, holidays and more.
Base Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per year which is experience dependent, with overtime £60,000 is achievable. We would also consider subcontractors on a full-time basis – Rates to be discussed
