An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in London for a Service Manager. Due to increased case referrals at the Front Door and MASH team, Baltimore Consulting is partnering with a London Borough to appoint an interim Service Manager - MASH / Targeted Support for a 3-6 Month period.
Your main focus will be the quality of social care practice focusing on safely reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for Children and Families through effective threshold management and signposting.

Your role as Service Manager:
  • Provide guidance and support to team members
  • Managing a team of social care staff including ASYE
  • Undertake and accurately record monthly reflective/case supervisions with all social work staff in the team
  • Review quality of work analysis and data management to achieve timescales, and general team management tasks and required quality
  • Safely manage risk in all cases using restorative practice methods
  • As Service Manager, you will be able to use key indicators to measure performance and develop the skills of Team Managers and suitably support the development of both experienced and ASYE social workers.
 
Essential experience for Service Manager - MASH / Targeted Support (Youth Support/Justice, Early Help, Edge of Care):
  • Knowledge of social care process, governance and practice
  • Recent operational experienced in social care Service Manager (or higher) role for minimum of 2 years
  • Social care qualified and registered work Social Work England
  • Ability to identity staff development and training needs
  • Updated DBS
