What will you be doing:
As a Toolmaker, you will be pivotal in maintaining, repairing, setting up, and continually developing all punch tools, jigs, fixtures, toolset equipment, and some plant services. You will collaborate closely with production operators to resolve tool issues, ensuring a proactive approach to maintain efficiencies.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing tool setups, maintenance repairs, and problem resolution for all punch tools, jigs, and fixture equipment.
- Developing and completing planned maintenance schedules.
- Being involved in the installation of tooling in all press machines, CNC machines, and providing training on new equipment.
- Maintaining documentary records relevant to all aspects of the job.
- Continually developing and improving process machinery performance and working practices within the engineering scope.
- Changing tooling size and setup to meet production schedules.
- Working closely with production operators when required.
- Acting safely and ensuring all work is carried out according to the permit to work scheme.
- Liaising with external suppliers.
- Manufacturing internal tools, jigs, and fixtures.

A little about you:
  • You are an experienced Toolmaker with a strong background in tool maintenance, repair, and development.
  • Your technical skills are complemented by your ability to work collaboratively with production operators and other team members.
  • You are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to improving machinery performance and working practices.
  • Your dedication to safety and adherence to regulatory standards is paramount. You are also comfortable liaising with external suppliers and have a knack for internal tool and fixture manufacturing.
  • You will have your own transport due to the location not being accessible via public transport.
