Building Services Engineer Location: Stevenage or Bolton (Relocation Package available) Work Arrangement: Flexible approach to onsite and remote working, typically 2-3 days a week on site Salary: Up to £60,000, depending on experience

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Services Engineer to join our team! This role provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your engineering expertise and contribute to groundbreaking projects. With a strong MEP design background, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our suite of Building Design Guides, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and improved to maintain the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with domain experts to integrate standardized engineering solutions into project planning
• Review and evaluate proposed deviations from design guides
• Prepare budgets for major estate maintenance and lifecycle planning
• Assess the condition of the estate and provide ongoing evaluations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services
• Work with Facilities Management (FM) site operations managers to prioritize projects based on business objectives and building conditions
• Lead the shift towards a proactive approach to asset management, aligned with ISO55001 principles
• Serve as the primary representative for the FM Operations team for new installations

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in Building Services Engineering, particularly in Mechanical Engineering and the design and specification of mechanical installations
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Experience preparing scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and capital works packages
• Understanding of asset management principles, such as ISO55001
• Ability to implement standardized engineering solutions effectively
• Familiarity with assessing and implementing energy-efficient solutions
• Capability to serve as a Senior Authorising Person for Mechanical Safety Rules
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• CEng and Membership in CIBSE are desirable but not essential
