Location: Leicester
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 D.O.E + Bonus Opportunity
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

About the Role:

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Internal Sales Engineer to join their team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong sales background who is looking to grow their career within a reputable and established company. Within this role you will be dealing with customers who are looking to place orders, offering them advice and guiding them through the process. 75% of what you do will be email based, with phone calls made to customers, keeping them updated on the progress of their orders and to answer specific queries they may have.

What will I be doing as an internal Sales Engineer?
 

  • Technical Sales Support: Provide technical support and product information to customers, helping them select the appropriate products based on their specific needs and applications.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their requirements, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Quotation and Proposal Preparation: Prepare and deliver accurate and competitive quotations, proposals, and technical documentation in response to customer inquiries.
  • Sales Order Processing: Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy in product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as engineering, production, and logistics to ensure customer requirements are met and orders are fulfilled efficiently.
  • Lead Generation and Follow-Up: Identify potential sales opportunities through research, inbound inquiries, and follow-up on leads provided by the field sales team.

What are we looking for in the new Internal Sales Engineer?

  • Previous experience in an internal sales role, ideally within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Familiarity with selling within the industrial sector or a similar product range is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a passion for sales and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, supporting colleagues to achieve shared goals.
