Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We're looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in schools across Binley, Whitley, Willenhall, Cheylesmore, Styvechale, Finham, Fenside, Stoke Aldermoor, Green Lane, Ernesford Grange, Binley Woods, and surrounding areas of Coventry.

As an SEN LSA, you'll play a key role in helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You’ll provide individualized support in primary, secondary, and special schools, collaborating closely with teachers and school staff to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with delivering tailored lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Offer focused one-on-one or small group support to help students navigate learning difficulties and reach their academic goals.
  • Adapt to various classroom settings and school cultures to ensure consistent and effective support for all students.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that supports students’ emotional and educational development.
  • Work together with teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience and well-being of students.

Types of Role:

  • Day-to-Day Cover: Flexible roles that fit your schedule and preferences.

Requirements

  • Level 2+ qualification in Teaching Assistance or Learning Support Assistance, or a similar qualification (Desirable)
  • Recent experience in working with children in special educational settings (Desirable)
  • Solid understanding of special educational needs with the ability to adapt to different teaching environments
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting students
  • Experience or training in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality support and contributing positively to students’ educational experiences
