Our client is a leading construction company specializing in commercial and residential refurbishment projects, committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable renovations that meet the needs of their clients.

Position Summary

The Bid Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of the business by successfully securing new refurbishment projects. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to lead bid teams and ensure the timely submission of winning proposals.

Bid Strategy Development:

Develop and implement effective bid strategies, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.

Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities and assess competition.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop compelling value propositions.

Bid Team Leadership:

Lead and coordinate cross-functional bid teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and effective resource allocation.

Motivate and inspire team members to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the bid process.

Bid Preparation:

Oversee the preparation of bid documents, including tender responses, pricing proposals, and technical submissions.

Ensure that all required information is accurately and comprehensively presented.

Review and quality-check bid documents before submission.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and industry stakeholders.

Proactively engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations.

Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

Bid Evaluation and Analysis:

Analyze bid results to identify areas for improvement and inform future bidding strategies.

Conduct post-award reviews to assess the effectiveness of the bid process.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in a bid management role within the construction industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of the refurbishment and renovation process.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
