Job Title: Ocean Freight Supervisor

Location: Altrincham, Manchester

Salary: up to £45,000pa

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am-17:30pm

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Ocean Freight Supervisor/Team Lead to join our brand-ne office facility in Altrincham, Manchester. As a leader in our ocean freight department, you will be responsible for managing a small team of ocean freight operators and overseeing import and export operations for FCL, LCL & NVO consignments.

Ocean Freight Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach a small team of ocean freight operators, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence.
• Oversee import and export operations, ensuring efficient and timely handling of ocean freight shipments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize ocean freight processes and improve customer satisfaction.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.

Essential experience:

• Proven experience as an Ocean Freight Team Leader or Supervisor, with a strong understanding of import and export operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Thorough knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving operational processes.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
