We are a managed service provider who have exclusively partnered up with an exciting Aerospace company near Oxford to handle their entire recruitment process as they search for a Production Controller to join them on a long-term contract basis. They manufacture revolutionary technology supporting the ever-growing advanced air mobility sector out of their state-of-the-art facility. You will have the opportunity to work in a fantastic work environment. It will initially begin as a 6-month contract with the opportunity to continue on an ongoing basis.

The successful Production Controller will have the following responsibilities:

  • Regularly checking material availability and raising work orders while ensuring work packages are ready for production
  • Tracking open WIP while addressing blockers to with the wider teams to ensure issues are resolved with minimal delay.
  • Collaborate with ME, Engineering and Supply chain on BOM and SAP item master setup/maintenance.
  • Ensuring MRP is giving the appropriate demand signal for procurement items and analysing and addressing the root cause of issues when necessary
  • Supporting planners, industrial engineer and production team for SAP data collection and data analysis (Cycle time, Scrap, S&OP etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining stock levels on shelf-life items and bulk materials within the organisation to ensure optimal inventory at all times.
  • Support other planners and planning lead for their daily planning activities and KPI measurements
  • Support in setting up work to lists, pick/shipping lists and automate where possible

The Production Controller will ideally have the following skills or experience:

  • Previous proven experience working within a similar role
  • Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach
  • A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a small business environment
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • A flexible approach to work
