Job Description

Your future team:

Assystem’s Defence Business is looking to grow its capabilities and permanent staff headcount at Senior Mechanical Engineer level in the face of an ever-increasing order book.  The major emphasis would be to undertake Assystem controlled work packages for nuclear and marine clients on a hybrid basis from our offices in Sunderland, Glasgow, Derby, Blackburn, or Bristol.

Your missions:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be taking the lead on assigned project tasks, providing feedback of technical development and project delivery to management, and providing technical guidance to other team members.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills to be successful

⚙️ Minimum 2:1 BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Master’s level qualifications are preferable.

⚙️ Working level experience of the European standards is desirable, for example Eurocode 3.

⚙️ Familiarity with FEA and preferably user level experience of ANSYS Workbench.

⚙️ Ideally familiar with Autodesk Inventor software.

⚙️ An appreciation for the engineering design cycle of mechanical designs from Concept through to Manufacture.

⚙️ Full driving licence and ability to travel within UK.
