£45,000 - £55,000/annum car allowance

The role will be supporting a major AMP8 Bournemouth Water project.

You will report directly to Head of Construction and your role will cover leading and directing the site team to coordinate the safe management of all operational activities on all projects ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole
  • Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate
  • Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources
  • Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
  • Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated
  • Ensure all "as constructed" records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion
  • Attend all training associated with Site management duties including appointed person, temporary works etc as required
  • Ensure a Safe System of Work is in place for all works undertaken on the site, including Inductions, method statements, risk assessments, daily briefings, toolbox talks are prepared, reviewed, briefed, and updated.
  • Ensure High risk activities (e.g. WAH, Lifting Operations, Temp works) are site specific and adequately detailed.
  • Manage, supervise, and mentor the site team as appropriate.
  • Enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with client Safety Policies/Procedures/Permits.
  • Ensure the client Construction Phase H&S Plan and Environmental Management Plans are fully implemented.
  • Ensure that all site statutory inspections are carried out and recorded on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Adopt, maintain, and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources.
  • Ensure all "as constructed" records are provided for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion.
  • Procure/call off plant and materials required to execute the works.
  • Ensure realistic scheme look-ahead programmes are prepared, reviewed, and updated.
  • Drive and meet look ahead programme expectations.
  • Ensure Inspection & Test Plans are produced, completed, monitored and reviewed.
  • Ensure all personnel working on the site have the correct training and competencies in order to carry out their designated duties.
  • On site assessments to approve/confirm competencies.
  • Ensure all weekly/monthly SHEQ reports/return are completed in a timely manner.

Skills/experience/qualifications

  • Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management Qualifications
  • SMSTS
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH) ideally
  • CSCS Site Manager (Min)
  • First Aid at Work
  • CTWC
  • Cat & Genny
  • Clean UK Driving Licence
  • Good IT knowledge
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene Card (Blue)
  • Experience in the clean water industry desirable
  • Confined Space (Med Risk) Min
  • Scaffold Awareness training
