A leading main contractor is looking for a site engineer with their own equipment to join their team. The project is major industrial shed project in Ilkeston.

The leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their multi million pound project. Your role will involve overseeing the management of quality, ensuring accurate as-builts, and efficiently handling material orders for the site. You will play a major part in the project, you'll be instrumental in managing the setting out works the subcontractor is doing and managing them. 

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Manage quality control to uphold project standards
  • Oversee as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Efficiently order and coordinate materials essential to the project
  • Conduct thorough checks and assessments of subcontractors' setting out works
  • Management of on site engineer and subcontractor
  • Collaborate closely with the site team for smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in managing industrial projects, particularly in building logistic/ industrial warehouses or similar structures
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of critical project elements
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with subcontractors and team members
  • Own equipment and tools necessary for the role
  • Excellent Autocad skills
  • High knowledge in casting internal and external concrete slabs

This is a long-term freelance position with the potential for ongoing projects.
