Caretaker – Northfield

Supply Heroes are working with a Northfield based School who are looking for a Caretaker to join them as soon as possible. The role will be available on a temporary basis for the duration of the academic year and there is the possibility of a permanent role.

The school are looking for a hard-working and self-motivated person who will be able to ensure all school areas and grounds are maintained and kept safe and secure at all times. The caretaker will provide assistance to the teaching staff and ensure facilities and equipment comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Some of the daily duties of this role will include

• Providing maintenance and caretaking requirements as per the needs of the school site.
• Be responsible for opening and closing of the school site.
• To assist teaching staff with maintenance   and clean-up of their class as and when required
• Routine testing of equipment and ensuring all records are maintained
• To keep a record of all stock and order stock when needed
• Preparing the school site for functions as and when needed.

To be considered for this role the successful candidate will

• Have experience of working in a manual role
• Be able to prioritise and adapt to sudden changes
• Have knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
• Have a DBS that is on the update service or be willing to pay for a new check to be done.
