Senior Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor - Farnborough
A leading UK housebuilder, dedicated to creating vibrant and sustainable communities across the South of England, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee two projects (approximately 500 units of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom houses). Reporting directly to the Managing Surveyor, you will play a key commercial role in managing payments, costs, and the financial performance of designated developments within the region.

Reporting directly to the Managing Surveyor, you will play a key commercial role in managing payments, costs, and the financial performance of designated developments within the region.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and realistic estimates, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring effective cost control measures.
- Monitor site performance against original plans, budgets, and financial targets, ensuring key milestones are met.
- Provide detailed cost reports and updates for deadlines, regularly communicating with internal teams such as Sales, Land, Construction, and Technical Architects.
- Take full ownership of surveying responsibilities for your developments, while supporting the wider Commercial team on financial status and profitability.
- Produce accurate reports and presentations with a focus on detail, ensuring proactive and efficient project management.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the housebuilding industry.
- Minimum HNC in Building Studies; RICS qualifications or a degree in Quantity Surveying would be advantageous.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using land appraisal software such as ‘Site stream’ or similar.
- Familiarity with current standards and building regulations, along with strong planning and organisational skills.
- A self-motivated, proactive individual with excellent attention to detail.
- Salary up to £80,000 + car allowance.
